Built Better: Cleaner By Design

A New Approach to Sustainability

Sustainability is often defined by materials, certifications, and short-term metrics. But that’s only part of the equation.

We take a more comprehensive view. Material selection, durability, responsible manufacturing, and product lifespan are all interconnected. A product made with better materials, designed for consistent performance, and manufactured with intention contributes to an overall lower environmental impact.

This approach moves beyond isolated sustainability measures and focuses on the full lifecycle of a product.

Deep Roots: With over 50 years of manufacturing in Ohio, our roots run deep. Sustainability isn’t a trend for us: it’s a responsibility to our community, our employees, and the environment we share. We strive to build products that support long-term performance while protecting the place we proudly call home.

 About Us

Built Better: a Framework for Longevity

Sustainability starts with a simple principle: build products that don't need to be replaced.

Durability By Design

We engineer our products using materials selected for long-term performance, that resist staining, ghosting, and surface breakdown, even in high-traffic environments.

Do the Right Thing

We select materials that are not only better for the environment, like switching to water-based paints and stains that reduce VOCs, we also complete rigorous product testing to deliver the quality you expect.

Built to Last

Many of our products carry industry leading warranties, up to 50 years for our wallboards. We extend the product lifespan, directly reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing.

LEVEL 2 Certified

LEVEL was developed by BIFMA as a voluntary certification program in which third-party auditors evaluate products and manufacturers against the ANSI/BIFMA e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard. Created to provide a comprehensive, unbiased, and transparent assessment of environmental and social impacts, the LEVEL mark signifies that the product, its manufacturing facility, and the brand owner have all met certification requirements.

Making Progress

We are 100% committed to recycling. 95% of our products are made in the USA, allowing us to control the entire product process from sourcing to assembling. We work continuously to reduce manufacturing wastes through lean initiatives but also work to ensure the scrap that is produced is recycled. New processes are being implemented daily to ensure we are continuously improving.

Practice What We Preach

Environmental stewardship is built into how we do business. We prioritize durable materials, design for longevity, manufacture made-to-order to minimize waste, and continually invest in equipment and processes that improve efficiency. By aligning our operations with our values, we reduce our footprint while delivering products built to last.
